What to Expect When You Arrive at Our Photography Studio

Heading to our photography studio for the first time? Don't worry — we've thought about the little things that can make a photoshoot easier and more comfortable.

Our Portsmouth studio is designed to give you everything you need to arrive, get yourself ready and feel comfortable before we start shooting.

Your session is private

We only book one studio session at a time, so when it's your turn, the studio is yours.

There won't be other clients being photographed around you, and you won't be sharing the space with another shoot. We think this makes a big difference — particularly if you're feeling nervous about being in front of the camera.

A note about arrival times

Because we don't have a separate waiting area, we ask that you arrive at your booked time, rather than arriving significantly early and waiting at the studio.

For our longer sessions, there is usually plenty of flexibility around getting settled. However, our Headshot Days and promotional sessions are organised more tightly, with several appointments throughout the day.

We build a little buffer between appointments to help prevent overlaps, but if you are significantly late for a short session, there may not be enough time remaining to complete your shoot.

Please plan your journey so that you can arrive on time and ready to go.

Easy parking, right outside

One of the best things about our studio? You can park on our forecourt, right outside the studio door.

No hunting for a car park, carrying your bags down the street or worrying about how far you'll have to walk in your shoot clothes. Simply park up and come straight in.

And if you've travelled to us and your clothes have picked up a few creases along the way, don't panic — we have a clothes steamer at the studio for those last-minute touch-ups.

Somewhere to get ready

We have a dedicated area where you can take a moment to get yourself organised before your shoot.

There's a full-length mirror so you can check your outfit, along with a desk and accessible plugs if you need to charge your phone, use your hair tools or make any final preparations.

Space to change privately

Our studio has a WC with space to change privately, so you can bring outfit options without worrying about where you'll get changed.

Whether you're switching from something casual to something more formal, adding a jacket or simply making a quick adjustment, there's somewhere private for you to do it.

Coffee, refreshments & a little time to settle

Fancy a coffee before we start? We've got you covered.

We have coffee and refreshments available at the studio, so you can take a few minutes to settle in, have a drink and get your bearings before we start your photoshoot.

For most shoots we build in a little time to settle in, and there's no need to arrive feeling like you have to be camera-ready the second you walk through the door.

Then it's time to shoot

Once you're ready, we'll take you through everything you need to know.

You don't need to know how to pose, where to stand or what to do with your hands — that's our job. We'll guide you through the session and work with you to create photographs that feel natural and look great.

Whether you're visiting us for professional headshots, actor and performer headshots, personal branding or a creative portrait session, we'll make sure you feel comfortable and know what's happening throughout.

We've got the practical stuff covered

We want you to spend your time enjoying the experience, not worrying about the logistics.

So, park outside, bring your outfits, use the mirror, steam out those travel creases, grab a coffee and take a breath.

We'll take care of the rest.
