It's Our Birthday
The exact date of our birthday is a little blurry. That's what happens when you get older.
We got the keys and spent a few weeks after that getting the studio space ready for clients to arrive. We know we opened the doors some time in August so the whole month is our birthday now.
It feels like only yesterday we moved in, but when we realised we had made it to 5 years we hotfooted it to the back of a beer mat to make some notes. How we could celebrate and say thank you too. We do have a 'celebrate' page open dedicated to a week of bits and bobs that may catch an eye or two. Check it out if you feel the need. But this is about all the things not said on there...

For all the people who have supported us from near and far.
Many of you have been following us, our journey since way before the bricks and mortar of our current home. Many will remember our home studio. Many will remember the Covid days of borrowing studios so we could even see our wonderful clients.
There have been many changes and we have rolled with many punches. We are so proud to be able to say we are still here.
Lucky...
Doesn't even begin to cover it. Realistically its way more than luck. We have had family help us paint and build, even our two amazing children. We have had friends refer us work and we have had clients trust us time and time again. That's not luck. That's community. Our hearts feel very full.
Art Matters
In a time when everyone is squeezed so tight it means so much to see that people around us still value art and what we do. Im sure when it gets tough we all want to bury our heads in the sand but the mantra at the studio - is always that it's going to be ok. We get to create something beautiful and something meaningful and our best work is often done when times are tough. Because that's when we have to work even harder to make something great.
At the risk of getting too dewy eyed we just want to say thank you again...and again, and again.....
